Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift assignment requiring MO or compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of stepdown experience.

Details

• Cardiac Stepdown unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Neuro medical surgical patient population
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule with rotating every-other-weekend requirement
• Floating required as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active RN license meeting MO licensure criteria or current MO license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent stepdown experience required
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide and coordinate patient care across departments
• Maintains professional accountability and evaluates care provided by other direct caregivers
• Upholds patient rights and confidentiality standards
• Black scrubs required
• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with no declinations or exceptions accepted
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted, though bill rate is reduced
• Candidates living within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the radius
