Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a CA license for a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience.
Details
- Work in the ICU/Tele unit of an acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
- Weekend shifts required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within scope to any ICU/Tele units based on facility need
- Uses Cerner charting system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- Skilled in care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and IV therapy
- ICP monitoring experience preferred
- DOB, valid state license, required certifications, references, and COVID vaccination status required for consideration
Additional Information
- Position located within a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level II Trauma Center status
- Up to 5 days of RTO permitted, with 1 approved holiday off
- Strict facility dress code: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than earlobe earrings, and all tattoos must be covered
- No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted
- Free parking available on site
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
- Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Cath lab is super traveler friendly, easygoing docs, nice coworkers, super easy to get to the facility from surrounding areas, great about scheduling what you needed off, LOTS of outdoor activities to do within an hour of here! Safe gated parking area (called the Cage), hospital is clean and welcoming, staff usually pretty great in all areas I went.
Cons
DO NOT STAY IN POMONA, stay in surrounding areas (San Dimas, La Verne, Covina, Glendora, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Claremont are all good).
