Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a non-trauma Emergency Department position requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience.

Details

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Non-trauma ED setting
• Rotating 3x12 hour shifts, 11:00-23:00 and 15:00-03:00
• Every other weekend required
• Meditech charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, and PALS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Skills in EKG reading/monitoring, blood product administration, IV therapy, CVA care, PPE compliance, and triage
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Candidates must be willing to shave for fit testing or provide an approved provider exemption letter prior to starting

• Provide emergency care to critically ill and injured patients in a 24/7 department
• Work alongside specially-trained emergency physicians and nursing staff
• Facility uses the latest monitoring equipment and offers private treatment rooms
• Zero-tolerance drug policy in place; medical marijuana cards not accepted
• Drug screening required during compliance and again on first day onsite
• RTO expectations scale with number of holidays falling within the assignment
• Candidates who previously worked permanently at the facility within the past 24 months will not be considered
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
