Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2+ years of MICU experience and EPIC EMR proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Medical ICU (MICU) at a hospital facility
• Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12), 1900-0730
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• 13 or 26 week assignment length to assist with holiday coverage
• Floating required to like units within the facility or to other facilities in the area
• Uses EPIC EMR documentation system
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent MICU experience required
• At least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, and cardiac monitoring required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Respiratory/thoracic care experience required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients including ventilator management and continuous IV sedation
• Monitor cardiac status and respond to emergencies, including interpreting and managing dysrhythmias
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required based on census needs
• Orientation held every Monday along with annual compliance training
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Radius and mileage eligibility rules apply for travel positions within the health system
