Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center position requiring active MA RN licensure and prior Level I trauma experience.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
• Shift may occasionally flex up to 4 hours earlier or later based on urgent staffing needs
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Minimum of 1.5 years of RN experience required, 2+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Must be able to read telemetry
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; NIHSS and TNCC preferred
• Skills in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required
• Triage skills preferred
• Experience in Psych/Behavioral Health ED beneficial

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care within a Level I Trauma Center
• Must pass two pass/fail exams during orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry exam, each with a single attempt allowed; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews to support exam preparation
• Holiday coverage requires inclusion of 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year) in RTO
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review; no RTO allowed during the first week
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 200-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
