Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 41-bed Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit, open to candidates with a KY or compact RN license and no prior experience required.

Details

• 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit
• Cares for medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and altered hemodynamics requiring telemetry monitoring
• Day shift schedule, 0700-1930
• 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of start
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination through all phases of the nursing process
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary care team to support a healing, patient-centered environment
