Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 28-bed unit on night shift, open to candidates with no prior experience required and holding a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• 28-bed Medical Surgical unit serving patients age 18 and up
• RN to patient ratio of 5-6:1
• 3x12 night shift schedule, 7p-7a
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• 36 hours per week at 0.9 FTE

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination through all phases of the nursing process
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Collaborate closely with an interprofessional care team to support a healing, patient-centered environment
