Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of pediatric sonography experience and ARDMS certification for a role spanning fetal, pediatric, and adult congenital echocardiography.

Details

Work across NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU units with 4 scanners available
Perform echocardiographic studies spanning fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography
Assist with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement
Uses Philips echo equipment, Epic EMR, and PACS Fuji CV Synapse
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift schedule
No on-call requirements
Closed on major holidays

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography required
BLS and ARDMS certification required
License required if applicable
Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred
Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease required
Experience with ECMO procedures, bedside ECMO weans, and catheter placement required
Fetal echo experience encouraged
Adult echo experience a plus

Additional Information

Recognize and triage emergent situations
Provide written communication to cardiologists
Maintain equipment and complete logging and billing of procedures
1-2 week facility orientation provided
Caribbean Blue scrubs required
