Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license and telemetry float experience across multiple units.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within the Med/Surg/Tele Float Pool
- Floats to 4th floor Tele and 5th, 6th, and 7th floor Med/Surg Tele units
- Uses Cerner EMR
- 12-hour night shifts with 2 weekends required per 4-week period
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
Requirements
- Active CA RN license (Standard or Compact) required, pending licenses not accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Telemetry and Med/Surg experience required
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Must pass Relias Dysrhythmia exam (basic or advanced) prior to offer confirmation
- Must pass sterile technique test for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on first day of orientation
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care and float support across multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, no local rates offered
- Cannot have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity, within the past 12 months
- Candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
- Cannot hold a second job while on assignment and must prioritize the travel schedule
- Failing the second attempt of the Relias exam or sterile technique test results in ineligibility with CommonSpirit Sacramento region and Arizona facilities for 6 months
- Location offers access to Yosemite National Park, several lakes, and nearby towns for outdoor recreation
