Description

American Traveler is hiring an OB/L&D RN for a 13-week assignment requiring ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications along with a Minnesota RN license.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit position
• 3x12 shifts, day (0700-1930) or night (1900-0700)
• Every other weekend or third weekend commitment required
• Care spans Antepartum, OB Triage, Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum
• Requires competency in postpartum couplet care and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Requires fetal monitoring skills including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and use of external fetal monitoring
• Involves triage of obstetrical patients and non-stress tests (NST)

Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN license in hand or proof of Minnesota license application required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience with strong OB background
• Charge experience preferred
• MedSurg experience is a plus
• Must complete Livescan fingerprinting in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date
• Must complete required lab work within 48 hours of signing contract

Additional Information

• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at time of submission
• Former permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates within 25 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Travelers requesting a medical or religious vaccine exemption must submit appropriate documentation
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
