Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active MA RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Details
- Emergency Department setting at a community hospital serving a year-round island population with significant seasonal patient volume increases
- 36 hours per week on rotating shifts
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses Epic for charting
- Shared housing provided at no cost
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of consideration; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required upon start (AHA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
- Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care within a small community hospital environment supporting both residents and seasonal visitors
- Flu vaccination required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates permitted; those residing within 60 miles of Boston are considered local and subject to a reduced rate
- RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
