Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of pediatric sonography experience and ECMO procedure knowledge to serve NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU patients.

Details

Work across 4 scanners performing echocardiographic studies spanning fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography
Cover NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU units
Assist with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement
Uses Philips ultrasound equipment
EMR/PACS systems include Epic and PACS Fuji CV Synapse
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift schedule
No weekend expectations
No on-call requirements
Closed on major holidays

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography
Current BLS and ARDMS certification required
License required if applicable
Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred
Experience with fetal echo encouraged
Adult echo experience a plus
Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease required
Experience with ECMO procedures required

Additional Information

Perform echocardiographic studies across the full spectrum of fetal, pediatric, and adult congenital heart disease
Recognize and triage emergent situations
Provide written communication to cardiologists
Maintain equipment and complete logging and billing of procedures
1-2 week facility orientation provided
Caribbean Blue scrubs required
