Description
American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with 2+ years of recent experience and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for a day shift assignment.
Details
- Work in the PACU unit of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:15 AM-5:45 PM)
- On-call required every 4th weekend and two nights per week
- Floating required within scope of practice
- Patient ratios may fluctuate with census and staffing needs
Requirements
- Active KY or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience required
- Valid driver's license required, with address matching permanent address
- Two professional references required (one Charge or higher, one supervisor), completed within the last year
Additional Information
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case
- Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront with no changes allowed
- Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
- Returning travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after working one year before becoming eligible again
- Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
