Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience and CCI RCIS certification to support diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology cardiac procedures.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
- Perform diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, IABP and pacemaker insertion/removal
- EP procedures include cardiac mapping, ablation, arrhythmia induction, and AICD insertion/programming
- Uses Philips imaging equipment
- Epic EMR experience required
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call required weeknights and weekends, averaging 10-12 call shifts per month with 2-3 weekend call shifts every two months
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and CCI RCIS certification required
- ARRT-R certification preferred
- Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Proficiency in sterile technique, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and temporary/permanent pacemaker procedures
- Lead tech or management experience preferred
- 3D imaging experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- One supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, inventory management, and supply stocking
- Maintains sterile field and follows infection control and isolation precaution protocols
- Recognizes and responds to life-threatening arrhythmias and participates in rapid response/code team activations
- Navy blue scrubs provided
- Orientation held bi-weekly
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 31-March 31) with no exemptions
- Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate
- Requires 5-7 days maximum RTO to be included with submission
- Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have worked there within the last 6 months
