Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a day shift travel assignment requiring an active NY RN license and at least 2 years of recent specialty experience.

• Med Surg Float Pool/Central Staffing Office/Clinical Support unit
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:30
• 13-week assignment length
• No blocked scheduling allowed

Requirements

• Active NYS RN license required at time of consideration
• AHA or RQI issued certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• US SSN required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)
• MS applicants with less than 2 years experience must pass MS competency testing within 2 attempts

Additional Information

• Float within Med/Surg units as part of the Central Staffing Office/Clinical Support team
• Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional accepted (no personal/religious declinations)
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period will result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at time of submission
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not eligible from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
