Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring an active IL RN license and prior Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit setting, including Med-Surg Adult, Med-Surg Ortho, and Telemetry Med/Surg patient populations
• 13-week assignment on night shift (7:00P - 7:30A)

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required

Additional Information

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques and policies
• Document care according to established standards
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments supporting the patient's longitudinal plan of care
• Apply critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
