Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel contract requiring KS or compact RN license and 2+ years of L&D experience.

Details

• 10-bed LDRP unit with 4-bed GYN/Post-op, 14 well-baby beds, and 3 Special Care Nursery beds
• Unit delivers approximately 900 babies per year supported by 2 OB/GYN physicians and 3 pediatricians
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Occasional floating to Med-Surg, ICU, and ER expected (2-3 times during a 13-week contract)
• Block scheduling will be reviewed upon request

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required, AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required, 3-4+ years preferred
• Experience circulating for C-sections preferred
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience with external fetal monitoring, antepartum care, and obstetrical triage required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
