Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level III trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and comfort treating both adult and pediatric ICU patients.
Details
- Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
- Respiratory Therapy department serving adult and pediatric ICU patients
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
- Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units
- Epic EMR used for charting
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active state or Compact RRT license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of applicable Respiratory Therapy experience
- Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
- Must pass Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
- Epic EMR experience required
- No background or license actions within the past 12 months
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Comfortable working across adult and pediatric ICU patient populations
- Willing to float within the hospital or affiliated campuses based on staffing needs
- Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
- Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted, with no holiday RTO accepted
- Candidates requesting holiday RTO may request one major holiday only
- Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Night shift travelers may extend contracts twice (maximum of three contracts total) before requiring a six-month break
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible
- Completion of required compliance modules prior to start (estimated 4-10 hours)
