Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with IR experience and at least 1 year of Epic EMR experience for a cardiac catheterization lab role.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab setting including diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Patient population includes heart catheterization patients such as right heart caths, pacemaker insertions, and low-risk PCI
• Uses Omnicell medication system and Epic EMR for documentation
• Special equipment includes Teleflex IABP, Impella, and Boston Scientific IVUS
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours), 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• Call required every 3rd weekend with 1-2 call days during the week in between
• Weekend coverage required approximately every 3rd weekend, subject to change based on need
• May be required to float to other units or campuses within the health system based on census needs and demonstrated competencies

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Tech with IR experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT R or CCI RCIS certification required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, cardiac stent placement, IABP and Impella placement/removal
• Experience with interventional radiology and special procedures including vascular studies, angioplasty, carotid stenting, central venous access, and dialysis graft procedures
• Experience with genitourinary studies including nephrostomy and renal angiography/stent placement
• Experience with electrophysiology studies and pacemaker insertion preferred

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, IR and special procedures, and EP studies including pacemaker insertions
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Orientation occurs every Monday, with annual compliance requirements
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Travelers must maintain a minimum distance from area facilities to qualify for travel eligibility and full pay rate
