Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a combined MS/Tele-PCU night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and MD or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work on a combined Medical/Surgical-Telemetry (CPU) unit requiring higher acuity and PCU experience
• 22 rooms with 30 beds and an average daily census of 30 patients
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Treats a variety of diagnoses including CHF, ECOPD, NSTEMI, new-onset AFib, arrhythmias, sepsis, and renal failure/AKI
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (1900-0730)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within the specialty as needed
• No pre-scheduled on-call, but may be placed on call in lieu of a call-off

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers considered if they have strong CPU and PCU experience and can handle higher acuity

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for complex, high-acuity medical/surgical and telemetry patients
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of offer and should not exceed one major and one minor holiday request during the fall/winter holiday season
