Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of registered MRI experience and ARRT (MR) certification for weekend coverage shifts at a Level 1 Trauma Center teaching hospital.
Details
- Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital setting
- MRI department equipped with one Philips scanner
- Average caseload of 20-25 patients per 24 hours across the department, not per tech
- Weekend coverage required: 16 hours per day Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Remaining 8 hours scheduled as an evening shift (2:30 PM-11:00 PM) on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday
- No call requirement
- No floating requirement
- Uses Cerner and Fuji Synapse charting systems
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience as a registered MRI technologist required
- BLS and ARRT (MR) certification required
- License required if applicable
- Experience required in Adult Acute Care, Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, and ER/Trauma settings
- MRI procedure experience required in Abdomen and MRCP imaging
- IV start skills required
- PACS and contrast experience preferred
- Never works alone; supported by department team

- First-time travelers accepted if MRI registered with 2 years of experience
- Caribbean Blue scrub color required
- Free parking provided for travelers
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1-March 31) unless medically exempt with documentation
- COVID vaccine not required
- 100-mile radius rule applies; candidates living 75-99 miles away considered on a case-by-case basis for facility approval
- No RTO restrictions
- Permanent employees cannot return as travelers within 2 years of their last permanent work date
