Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a FL or compact license and at least 1 year of OR experience for a fast-paced surgical unit.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care hospital with 72 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM
• Patient ratios: 1:4 days, 1:1 nights, 1:1 weekends
• Weekend shifts required
• On-call coverage required, including 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month (Saturday 6:30 AM-Monday 6:30 AM) with a 30-minute response time for case notification
• No floating required outside assigned unit
• Cerner EMR used, experience preferred

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Skills in gynecologic, orthopedic, general, urologic, ENT, and endoscopic surgical procedures preferred
• Experience with robotic surgery systems (Da Vinci Xi) and specialized OR equipment (cell saver, electrosurgical units, Steris) preferred
• Must complete pass/fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)

Additional Information

• Perform scrub and circulating duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, ENT, and robotic procedures
• Royal blue scrubs required
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning to the facility as a traveler
