Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for evening shifts, requiring MRI and Siemens equipment experience along with ARRT MRI certification.
Details
- 324-bed medical center with 24-hour emergency care and Level II trauma care
- Uses Epic EMR and Siemens MRI equipment
- 5x8 hour evening shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
- One weekend per month required (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
- No call requirements
Requirements
- Required MRI experience
- Required Siemens equipment experience
- Active ARRT MRI certification
- Active BLS certification (AHA)
- License required if applicable
- Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to MRI specialty required for consideration
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Prepare scan room and patient for MRI examinations, including administering IV or oral contrast as needed
- Screen patients for contraindications, explain procedures, and answer patient questions prior to imaging
- Position patients appropriately and utilize correct protocols, coils, and restraints during scans
- Ensure proper image orientation and prepare complete records for radiologist review
- Matching scrubs of any color required
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
- No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment

Subpar pay (non-competitive with regional hospitals). Starting pay for a RN is 32.90 per hour in 08/2026. Other area hospitals like covenant and McLaren Bay City start out in the $40+/hr range. Lots of drama with coworkers, but that’s everywhere.
