Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KY or compact RN license and ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department providing 24-hour emergency care to patients with severe injuries or illness
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
• Weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care through nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, and care coordination
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Perform comprehensive assessments considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures such as patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Collaborate with an inter-professional healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
