Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry with 2+ years of acute care experience and Epic proficiency for a Med-Surg Tele unit.

Details

• Work on a 24-bed Med-Surg Tele unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Mixed diagnosis patient population
• RN reads telemetry, no titration required
• Uses IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer equipment
• Supported by CRN, discharge nurse, and weekday pharmacists
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule, 6:45am-7:15pm, working every other weekend
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly

Requirements

• Active RN license (Indiana or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years acute inpatient RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills in trach care, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment required

Additional Information

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient responses to interventions
• Provide patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning
• Mentor and precept staff while fostering teamwork and collaboration
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel and participate in quality and safety improvement efforts
• Practice within a Practice Governance framework applying patient-centered care principles
