Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position in a fast-paced Inpatient Observation Unit requiring Level 1 trauma center experience.

Details

• 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit located near the ED
• Fast-paced setting with changing patient acuity, including medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and mid-holds
• Patient population ranges from lower to higher acuity
• May be required to float to other areas of competency
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar specialty within an acute care setting
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma center required
• Proven background managing critical, fast-paced, and complex trauma cases
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care in a high-intensity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Holiday coverage is an expectation
• Block scheduling is not typically approved
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
