Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology/Endovascular RN with 3-5 years of Cath Lab experience for a Monday-Friday day shift assignment requiring NJ or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Radiology-Special Procedures department of a hospital setting
• Care for critically ill medical and surgical patients undergoing invasive procedures under fluoroscopy and general X-ray
• Assist with invasive procedures in Interventional Radiology, Endovascular Surgery, and Neurosurgical intervention
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours per week
• No weekend requirement
• On-call required
• Float as needed, including to a sister hospital
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• 3-5 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Ability to administer moderate sedation and read cardiac telemetry arrhythmias
• Strong knowledge of peripheral venous intervention procedures
• Excellent communication and computer skills

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for patients undergoing invasive procedures
• Employ aseptic techniques per AORN guidelines
• Collaborate with the healthcare team through a shared governance model to promote evidence-based, patient-centered care
• Function within an integrated Health Care System providing professional critical care nursing
