Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a Magnet, Level II Trauma acute care hospital offering diagnostic and interventional cardiac, EP, and interventional radiology procedures.

- Acute care hospital setting with Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Interventional Radiology services
- Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
- 407 staffed beds
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including some Saturdays as part of the regular schedule
- On-call required 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend
- May float within scope to Interventional Radiology (IR) and Electrophysiology (EP)
- May float to affiliate hospitals nearby
- Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, structural heart interventions (PFO, TAVR, Mitral Clip)
- Interventional Radiology procedures include lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity interventions, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
- Neurointervention and CRM device implant procedures performed
- Uses Philips X-Ray system, McKesson for Cath Lab, and MacLab/CardioLab for EP
- Charting completed in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, EP, IR, vascular, monitoring, and neuro procedures required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with rhythm interpretation, CTO, peripherals, venous access, and atherectomy/thrombectomy devices preferred
- Experience with temporary LVAD support preferred
- Copies of certifications required for consideration
- References required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Valid state license required, with pending license accepted (10-12 week processing time)
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, EP studies, structural heart procedures, and interventional radiology cases
- Responsibilities include EKG lead placement, hemodynamic monitoring, sterile field maintenance, and vascular/neuro procedural support
- Scrubs provided
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Only 1 time off request permitted per 13-week assignment, approved individually upon offer
- Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Maximum assignment length of 1 calendar year, followed by a required 6-month break before returning to the same facility
- Facility only accepts Hepatitis B vaccination; titers or declinations not accepted
