Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in cardiac cath, interventional radiology, and neurointervention procedures for a Level II Trauma acute care hospital.
Details
- Acute hospital Cath Lab/EP department performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, STEMI response, IABP, Impella, TandemHeart, and structural heart procedures (PFO, TAVR, Mitral Clip)
- Also supports Interventional Radiology procedures including lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity work, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
- Neurointervention and CRM device implant procedures included in scope
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including some required Saturdays as part of the regular schedule
- On-call requirement of 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend
- May float within scope to Interventional Radiology (IR) and Electrophysiology (EP), and may float to affiliate hospitals nearby
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab/EP required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required for Cath Lab
- EP, IR, vascular, monitoring, and neuro experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Valid state license required if applicable
- Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Level II Trauma, Magnet-designated facility recognized as a top hospital in Alaska
- Perform procedural responsibilities including EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, hemodynamic monitoring, and vascular/EP/cath lab procedures as needed
- Scrubs provided
- Free parking available
- Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Only 1 time off request permitted per 13-week assignment, approved individually upon offer
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year in this assignment before requiring a 6-month break to return
