Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring PCICU experience and PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
Details
- Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU with a 12-bed overflow unit
- Patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD patients
- Patient age range spans neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow patients
- 13-week contract with 36-48 hour work weeks
- Scheduled shifts run from 07:00 to 19:30
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA required for BLS and ACLS)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients across a wide age range and diagnosis spectrum
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced pay rate that varies by state
- Travelers should discuss extension with their manager approximately 45 days prior to assignment end date
- Only one submission permitted per candidate across the Ascension system
