Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring PALS certification and prior pediatric CVICU experience.
Details
- 13-week contract with 12-hour shifts from 07:00-19:30
- 24-bed pediatric cardiac ICU with a 12-bed overflow unit
- Patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD patients
- Age range spans neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow patients
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA)
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiac patients across a range of complex diagnoses and post-surgical cases
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate
