Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology Infusion RN requiring CA licensure, BSN, and chemotherapy certification for an outpatient infusion setting at a teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in an outpatient Infusion Center within a teaching hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours with variable starts between 7-9am
• 1-2 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule period
• Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
• Epic charting system required
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood and blood products, coagulation factors, antifungals, antivirals, and antibiotics
• Provide IV therapy, hydration, pain management, transfusion therapy, and PICC line/port care
• Perform IV push administration of chemotherapy and manage infusion pumps
• Handle body fluids post-chemotherapy administration

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• BSN required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy ONS/ONCC certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent adult clinical Oncology Nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient Infusion experience administering chemotherapy/biotherapy within the last 3 years
• Experience administering infusions, pain management, transfusion therapy, and hydration required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• OCN certification or other relevant specialty certification preferred
• 3+ years of adult Oncology Nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Locals accepted at the same rate as travel
• Prior employment history with any University of California medical facility or acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review
• RTO must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
• Membership in professional organizations is recommended
