Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency at a high-volume teaching hospital.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• High-volume facility with 200-300+ births per month
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 13-week assignment length
• May be required to float
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced (or NCC C-EFM in lieu of AWHONN Advanced)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• IV start and maintenance skills required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
• Skills include fetal monitoring (external and internal), IUPC placement, spiral electrode placement, and magnesium sulfate/Pitocin administration
• Experience with high-risk antepartum, cesarean section recovery, and circulating for C-sections preferred
• Support for vaginal deliveries, multiple births, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly upon signing contract due to urgent processing timelines
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this health system
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
