Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level 1 trauma cardiac cath lab, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS/ACLS certification.
Details
- Acute care setting within a Level 1 trauma cardiac cath lab
- Unit includes 8 fluoro rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoro
- No floating to other units or departments
- Uses EPIC EMR for charting
- Additional equipment includes XIM (Philips/Witt charting), Pyxis, Xcelera, and Siemens/Philips fluoro systems
- 4x10 hour shifts with varying start times (0530-1600, 0630-1700, 0730-1800)
- On call approximately 1 call per week plus 1 call weekend every 3-4 weeks, with 30-minute response time
- May be required to fill vacant call shifts if not picked up by staff
Requirements
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2-3 years of Cath Lab experience required
- RCIS or RCES certification preferred
- License required if applicable
- Skills in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart caths, and EP cases
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart caths, and possibly EP device cases
- Orientation will focus on monitoring in XIM and effective scrubbing/circulating techniques
- 8 hours of orientation provided
- Ceil Blue scrubs provided
- Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Candidates who previously worked at this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
- Local candidates may be considered within an 80-mile radius, though pay may be adjusted accordingly
