Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Telemetry unit requiring a PA or compact license and at least 1 year of MS Tele/PCU experience.

Details

• Telemetry unit with a mix of Med-Surg Telemetry and PCU patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1
• Cerner charting system preferred
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
• Every other holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry/PCU nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration required
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management required
• SSN, DOB, and RTO details required for consideration
• Two supervisor references preferred

Additional Information

• Provide bedside nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients, including monitoring, medication management, and emergency response
• Manage patients with cardiovascular, renal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions
• Support rapid response and code team interventions as needed
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24–48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start
• Approximately 1 hour of pre-start orientation modules required before starting at the facility
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Travel pairs may be accommodated based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
