Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift Nephrology Telemetry position requiring 1-2 years of experience and MO or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting on the Telemetry unit, focused on nephrology telemetry patients
- Patient ratios of 1:5-6
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Weekend requirement of 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within service line to meet facility needs
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Special skill needed for Peritoneal Dialysis
- Requires interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias and emergency response
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required (compact must match permanent residence)
- 1-2 years of RN experience preferred
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- NURSYS certification preferred
- Skills in cardiac telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response required
Additional Information
- Provide cardiac telemetry monitoring and nursing care to nephrology patients, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Navy scrub color required
- Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or must be shaved
- No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
- Standard travelers must reside outside a 75-mile radius and may work up to an 18-month period, followed by a required 3-month break in service
- Permanent employees of BJC or Saint Luke's facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
