Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a hospital-based mid-shift role requiring ARRT MR certification and Siemens MRI experience.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI department supporting both inpatient and outpatient imaging services
• 5x8 hour mid shift schedule, primarily 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
• Occasional day or evening shift coverage may be required based on staffing needs, but not scheduled past 9:30 PM
• No overnight shifts, no weekend shifts, and no on-call requirements
• Uses Siemens 3T VIDA and 1.5T SOLA MRI scanners
• Facility currently operates on Siemens XA60 software
• EPIC charting system required
• No floating to sister facilities required

Requirements

• ARRT MR and BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required
• Prior hospital-based MRI experience required
• Siemens MRI experience required, including XA30 software experience
• Adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/trauma, and community hospital experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• IV insertion and IV skill competency is a plus
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations on inpatient and outpatient populations across abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Experience with special imaging procedures such as CINE, diffusion studies, perfusion, spectroscopy, and MR angiography preferred
• Cardiovascular MRI experience including MR Angio, MR Aortogram, and MR Cardiac studies is a plus
• Work alongside MRI staff technologists, charge technologists, MRI Safety Officer, and RNs depending on shift
• Strong customer service mindset and teamwork-driven approach required
• Scrub color: any shade of blue
• Acute care hospital environment with 438 staffed beds and 4 imaging rooms
• First-time travelers accepted
• RTO limited to 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week of assignment
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler; standard travelers may stay 18 months with a required 3-month break in service afterward
