Description

American Traveler is hiring a PCU RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring at least one year of PCU experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to other units as needed based on facility staffing needs
• No block scheduling greater than 3 or 4 shifts

Requirements

• Active KS or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of PCU experience required, including IV starts
• Meditech charting experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Negative 13-panel drug screen required within 30 days of assignment, accepted only via Qgold

Additional Information

• Level 3 Trauma hospital with 149 staffed beds
• Any scrub color accepted; OR, L&D, and Cath Lab scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available
• Must be able to work some holidays
• RTO requests must be approved and documented prior to assignment start, with minimal requests once on assignment
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must reside within a 45-mile radius; local candidates within this radius are not accepted for this position
