Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Magnet-designated teaching hospital, requiring a CT/Compact license, Epic experience, and call coverage.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department of a 186-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call required twice weekly, either 5p-7p or 7p-11p
- Weekends and holidays required as needed by the department
- Epic charting system used
Requirements
- Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 1 professional reference required
- Skills across specialties may be required including gynecology, plastics, neurology, general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopic procedures, urology, robotics, and ENT surgeries
- Da Vinci Xi Surgical System experience may be preferred for robotic cases
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and scrub duties across a variety of surgical specialties
- Scrubs provided for this role
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
- Candidates must not be local, defined as residing within 75 miles of the hospital
- Former staff must have separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
