Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a Level 1 Trauma hospital, requiring active FL/compact license and recent acute care telemetry experience.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required if needed
• Floating to other telemetry floors required as needed

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Two years of recent telemetry experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Degree from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution
• Two years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within a US hospital within the past 24 months
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia/EKG assessment
• Proof of vaccination status required with no declinations allowed
• Successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks

• Provide telemetry-based nursing care within a fast-paced trauma hospital setting
• Smoke-free facility
• Locals within a 60-mile radius will be considered
• Failure to pass the arrhythmia exam on first attempt requires a retake within 24 hours meeting minimum scoring thresholds before starting first shift
