Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift position at a Level 3 Trauma Center, requiring prior travel experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Med Surg/Telemetry unit caring for cardiac, stroke, and general medical patients
• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 on nights
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within the same discipline across local campuses
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Skills checklist specific to Med Surg/Telemetry required for consideration
• Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Contribute professional clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary team managing patient care
• Located at a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limited time off requests permitted during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday periods
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months
