Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license and telemetry monitoring experience.
Details
- Telemetry unit setting caring for patients with critical or life-threatening illness
- Cares for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status
- Administers prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips
- Assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertions
- Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:30
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; pending or conditional licenses not accepted
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start
- Ability to interact effectively with patients of varying ages and intellectual/physical abilities
Additional Information
- Recognizes and assists patients experiencing shock or other life-threatening complications
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates within 60 miles of Boston are accepted at a reduced rate
- Timekeeping managed through UKG/Kronos
- Parking is not validated; public transportation or paid public lots are available near Boston locations
