Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring circulating and scrub experience along with a Massachusetts RN license.

Details

• Operating Room department in a 298-bed teaching hospital
• Full-service surgical unit supporting a broad range of surgical specialties
• 8-hour afternoon shift schedule (3:00 PM-11:30 PM), five shifts per week
• 10 or 12-hour shifts are not available for this assignment
• Weekend work may be required, with holiday coverage required if needed
• On-call responsibilities may apply

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand prior to consideration (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room RN experience required
• Circulating and scrub experience required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Candidate must have a personal vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Provide pre-surgical, intraoperative, and post-surgical nursing care as part of a collaborative surgical team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required prior to starting the assignment
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted for the duration of the assignment
• Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this position
• All time off requests must be finalized prior to submission, as requests made after an offer will not be approved
