Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and ARRT/BLS certification.

Details

• Level 1 trauma acute care setting with 6 cath lab suites separate from IR and EP
• Average of 10 to 15 cases per day
• 9-hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
• On-call requirements on a rotational basis, approximately 8-9 shifts per month
• Call response time is 30 minutes from time of page
• Cardiologists are on call 24/7, 365 days a year
• Primary charge nurse covers 0600-1530 and takes call but does not routinely complete cases
• Not currently required to float
• Uses Epic, PACS, and McKesson cardiology PACS systems

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• ARRT and BLS certification required
• IEMA certification required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required
• McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating
• Unit-specific orientation typically lasts 3 to 5 days
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Mandatory call list utilized when staff cannot fulfill their call shift
• Accepts local candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility
• Drug-Free Campus requiring a negative drug screen for all panels
