Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital, requiring 1+ years of acute care experience and open to first-time travelers.
Details
- Acute Care Hospital PT unit at a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center with 104 staffed beds
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Patient ratio of 8-12 patients per day
- Floating between units required
- Occasional weekend coverage to help fill regular staffing needs
- Epic charting system used
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of acute care PT experience required
- BLS certification required
- WA state PT license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Self-directed with strong teamwork and time management skills
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Inpatient rehabilitation (IPR) experience a plus
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across an orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary patient population
- May involve gait training, assistive device use, and wheelchair assessments
- Scrubs of any color accepted across all units
- Free parking available on-site
- Open to first-time travelers
- Returning former employees must wait at least 3 months before eligibility
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- May be required to float between sister facilities within the region
