Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with RRT certification and acute care ventilator experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a hospital respiratory care unit.

Details

• Work in a hospital setting with 220 Med/Surg beds, MICU, ED, Labor and Delivery, and a Level 2B Nursery
• Respiratory Care unit staffing includes 5 RTs on Days, 5 on Eves, and 4 on Nights
• Day shift assignments include 1 Charge RT, 2 assigned to a 20-bed ICU, and 2 assigned to Med/Surg floors
• Uses PB980 Ventilator and Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator
• EPIC EMR charting system used
• 36 hours per week with Days/Eves rotation and Every Other Weekend (EOW)
• Day shift may rotate to 11a-11p as needed; Night shift is straight nights
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
• RRT certification required
• Active MA Respiratory Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required (AHA only accepted at this facility)
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in one location
• 1 to 2 years of experience working as a Traveler preferred
• Vent experience in an acute care setting required
• Ability to draw arterial blood gases
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy care across ICU and Med/Surg patient populations
• Work as part of a structured respiratory care team with defined daily assignments
• Local candidates accepted; must reside at least 60 miles from Boston for standard travel rate eligibility
