Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a Float Pool position requiring an active MA RN license and at least 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience.

Details

• Float Pool unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Weekends and holidays expected
• Float required to like units and overflow areas

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience required
• Must pass Telemetry Competency Exam and Medication Test with an 85% passing score, with only one attempt allowed and no remediation offered
• Documented professional development activities and knowledge of critical paths required
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Must complete ECG/Telemetry and Medication tests via Zoom within 48 hours of offer, administered by CCH
• Study guide provided by facility to help prepare for competency testing
• Flu vaccine required during compliance period; COVID vaccine plus booster also required (medical exemptions allowed)
• No more than three days of RTO will be approved, and no holiday RTO will be accepted
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must observe a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
• Travelers do not need a separation period from BILH to submit to open orders during this winter staffing period
