Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a hospital float pool position requiring MA licensure and the ability to independently interpret telemetry strips.

Details

• Hospital-based Float Pool RN position
• Medical-Surgical unit with telemetry patient population
• No dedicated tele techs, RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting their own telemetry strips
• Epic EMR experience required
• 12-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license in Massachusetts (MA) required, must be in hand
• Current CPR and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of recent acute Med/Surg with Telemetry nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass Dysrhythmia (ECG/Tele) and Medication competency tests during onboarding with an 85% passing score and only one attempt allowed

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Required to independently monitor, read, and interpret telemetry strips without dedicated tele tech support
• Maximum of three days RTO accepted for this assignment
• Must take a 6-month break between assignments at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility before returning
• Required vaccinations include COVID (plus booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, local candidates not accepted
