Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work in a high-volume Emergency Department-Trauma unit
• High volume of behavioral health patients
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 13-week assignment with night shift schedule, 19:00-07:30

Requirements

• Active RN license (KS or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care and coordinate care across disciplines within the ED
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment
• CPI/MOAB de-escalation training online and on-site portions may be required, with on-site completed during orientation
• Candidates must reside within the facility's radius requirement to qualify for the travel pay rate; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate
