Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 1+ year of cardiac cases experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 3 Cath Lab rooms and 1 Hybrid OR
• Average of 13-26 cases per day
• Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, CAD, PAD, PVD, CHF, and heart blocks
• Cases include cardiac, peripheral vascular, interventional radiology, and pacemaker insertions
• Uses Cerner and Merge as EMR and for hemodynamic monitoring
• Philips X-ray machines used
• 4x10 hour day shifts
• 24/7 cardiologist coverage with call hours M-F 17:30-7:00 and weekends 24 hours
• No floating requirements
• Typically 1 night call shift per week and 1 weekend call per 4-week period
• Holiday call distributed equally among staff
• Call response time of 30 minutes

Requirements

• ARRT and BLS certification required
• AZRT certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year experience with cardiac cases
• IR experience preferred
• Responsible for controlling the C-arm during cases, scrubbing in to assist MDs, and patient preparation
• Active state or compact (NLC) licensure required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Manager, director, and charge RN typically available from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 1-2 days of general orientation plus 2 days of unit-specific orientation
• OR scrubs provided by the hospital
• Candidates must maintain a permanent residence at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) with any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
